Thanks Tim. Jackson and I got a sneak-peak at the spoiler today. It is done and ready to pickup tomorrow. We will get some pix this weekend. I took the day off to spend with him and we had about 5-6 inches of new snow to play with. We used the JD 318 with the snowblower and cleaned several drives. We went to breakfast, Hubbard's, and back home to have fun together...What a life!!!!...

Snow Time in Indiana

New photos coming of the spoiler. We had some serious snow here both yesterday and today. Jackson and and his friend Jacob Yerk had to get some digging time yesterday in the back yard.
He and I had to move the snow on our drives plus several others in the neighborhood. He is a great helper. I love him sooo much!!! I worked on Blue today after lunch time...

PS---Thought those of you in Scottsdale Az. and Hawaii might get a kick out of the weather you left behind........

Spoiler is done!!

I finished installing the SLP spoiler for Blue this afternoon...

I wanted to say what a pleasure it is to do business with Hubbard GM Center. Matt and his staff are the best. Mike Weatherholt and the guys in the body shop are top-notch as well. They painted the spoiler and had it done on Thursday. I did not get it picked up due to the weather. That was just fine because Mike said they needed to give it the "once over" and clean it up.
Here are some photos as I installed and layed down the rally stripes. In the end, I am so happy with the way the car looks with the new addition. It seems to bring out the pinstriping even more!! I also wanted to compare the original to the new SLP....

I love not only doing the work but bringing you the photos and the stories....

Thanks Man!! It sure would be nice to get a call from Lynn's this week to say the headrests and the embroidery work for the floormats are done...---Here's hoping!!!---

PS---I bought the color pens for the white thread on the interior...Can't make up my mind to take the leap. I sure do like the look of the 45th interior...Red, White and Blue. If I don't like it after the fact, I am hosed!...

Headrests Done!!!!

Stacey Tate at Lynn's finished the embroidery on the headrests and the leather for the floormats. She again did an outstanding job for me. I thanked her for a job-well-done even as I walked out the door to get in my truck!!! What talent she has!!....

Go New England Patriots!!!! :flag2:

Removal and Installation of the covers

Removal and installation simply takes time and patience--It is definitely worth the time and labor....

Tom's up to bat!!

I took the floormats and the embroidered leather to Adair's Shoe & Leather Repair. Tom stated he was to glue and sew the leather to the mats with white thread. I will dye the thread blue. He said they would be done on Wednesday of this week....

Tom had installed the RS/SS on the floormats today. When I picked them up, They did not meet my expectations. The mats are so thick, he had trouble making the thread straight. This resulted in the edges not being uniform as well. I advised him of my concerns, paid him for his time and told him not to feel bad. This was a trial. I have a Plan "B" now which includes getting thinner, less expensive floor mats. Kathy and I will remove the binding, pull the carpet from the backing and ask Stacey to embroider the RS/SS directly to the carpet. We will then glue the carpet and backing. I will take the carpets to a location in Buffalo, Indiana and ask the girls to sew the binding again.

Stay tuned for further updates.....This is what this is all about--the quest and the result of making this your own!!!.....

Plan "B" give up the ship..We were doing good seperating the carpet from the rubber right up to the moment when I ran my thumb through the carpet..as I said, "It was the cheapest set of mats I could find."

Well, now on to Plan "C"---I am going back to the original mats with the leather sewn on and remove all leather. We are then going to remove all the carpet in the form of a rectangle. Stacey said she can make new leathers w/new embroidering. We will then use strong epoxy glue to attach them to the backing. This should put the leather at the same height as the rest of the floor mat's carpet.
Here's hoping!!...
