paint bubbles :(

well i washed and detailed my car today...
what i found were very little paint bubbles on my car... in about 3 places... they are very small... i would say 2-3 mms in diameter...

first of all... is this acceptable?
second...is it something i should be worried about?
third... is this fixable? cost?

please offer your suggestions as to what to do

I'd visit your dealer and show it to their body shop. There may be a service bulletin available if this is a reoccuring problem.

I had a defect in my '99, and found a TSB (service bulletin) describing the problem and solution. Working with a GM factory rep., as well as my dealer, the problem was fixed.

It can't hurt to bring it to the attention of the body shop at the dealer where you bought the car.

Chances are they will wet sand them out it could be excess clear coat bubbles.

yea, that would've been my guess as to how they'd resolve it.

It sounds to me like it may be an outgassing issue from painting/curing.

I have some stuff in various areas of my car. But I'm not letting them touch it. The touch ups would probably look worse.

"Gives it character" is what I keep telling my self.......:(

I have to go with SSOOCH on this one. I have a few of these myself, but would rather have the tiny imperfection without the risk of more than likely making it look worse.
Step back 2 feet and they disappear. HAHA
Good luck with whatever route you take.

Paint items are intended to be addressed at PDI and pick up. Having said that paint is part of the 36 month BTB.

Not sure as to what way I'd go...If its clear coat I'd have em wet sand and possible buff/polish without re-shooting clear. If its in the paint..... I guess they could... but like others said you run the risk of a botched job. tough call
