ABQ Track Day at SMS 10/02/2010!!!! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

We were successful in getting Jim to continue with the Cars, Coffee, Chile and Speed!

The new schedule is below. I will keep you posted as to the time as there is talk it'll be from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

As usual, we'll meet at the Old Town Hotel (formerly the Sheraton Old Town) off of I-40 and Rio Grande at (time TBD) sharp.

From there we will caravan up to the track and have a most excellent time ever! None of that "straight line" crap. This is a technical track!

You don't have to run your car on the track if you don't want to, but you DO NOT want to miss the opportunity to see what everyone is always talking about!

Plus, you can't beat the coffee and green chile burritos!

Rules:

1. A waiver must be signed.
2. No competitive racing allowed.
3. No Passing unless signaled by the driver in front of you.
4. Pass on straights only.
5. No more than nine cars on the track at any time.
6. Signal when leaving the track and going into Pit.
7. Remove all items inside of your car (including the trunk).
8. Remove loose driver side floor mat.
9. Helmets are optional, but recommended.
10. Maintain safe speeds, we don't want any crashes out there.
11. Have Fun!

Perhaps a "Dual Breaking out???" if Andre can get those boys down South movin!

gonna try to make it out this time. Had to put a new tire on the suby as we found that my LF tire was about reay to blow... was down to the steel on the inside tread....too much drifting in the corners.

Agreed, this track takes a little more agilty, patience, and skill.

It looks like I'll be missing this Track Day. My wife dropped a bomb on me this AM that I have to go to a wedding on the morning of the 2nd. The Track Day is still a go, however. Have fun!
