Stalling/Low Oil Pressure light
So my car has been stalling randomly at idle and when i would rev the engine a little for the past week or so. The other day on my way home from work it stalled and the Low Oil Pressure light came on. I pulled right over and had it towed to my shop. He tells me nothing is leaking and oil pressure is 30 at idle and 60 when you rev it. The car still has the problem with stalling but the light is not coming on anymore and my mechanic doesnt know what the problem is. Any ideas?

A trip to your local Chevy dealer will figure it out and solve your problem , and if it is still under the 100000 mile gm warrantee it may be free .No matter what it needs to be checked out B4 something bad happens.

If your mechanic is using a mechanical gauge to test pressure, and it's testing fine, then I would imagine your car is using an electrical sensor and that is going bad.
If it's not the electrical sensor, hopefully you don't have cam bearings already on the way out.

No where in your post did you reveal that it was a heavily modded car . , in that case the cost would be on you . But the dealer would only charge you 1 hour to diagnose the problem and find our what the problem is . Did you do the mods ? did a shop do the mods ? If a shop did it bring it there and let them have a better look at it . If that fails bring it to a shop in Florida that knows what they are doing . Tampa Tuning is a good place to have a look at it .

Plug in a scanner that has live time ability and drive it and you may figure out where your problem is , or head on over to Tampa Tuning and let a pro diagnose it .You spent the money to mod it ,so spend some money to fix the problem . Or if you believe it is an oil pressure sensor take a shot and replace it ,under $40.00 and easy to do .

lol all of that has already been done besides a sensor which I dont think is the problem because there is no CEL or codes. I asked for ideas of what the problem could be not ideas of where to bring it. |

You need to fix the stalling. An engine dying from no rpm means no pressure, idiot lights come on. I'd swap plugs/wires and inspect connections on coils and injectors, engine grounds and battery wires and battery condition.
Dealers are too dumb to change the oil correctly let alone diagnose something with no code. |

Not necessarily, but it would throw the low oil pressure light even if you aren't low on pressure. I would start with a simple sensor and see if it helps, if not take it in for a proper diagnosis.
And just because you aren't getting a CEL doesn't mean the car isn't reporting fault codes.

You can lead a horse to water , but you can't make him drink . If you or your so called shop/installer can't figure it out by now seek out a real pro who can. And if I were you I would also get an oil analysis done asap. If it were mine I would cut open the oil filter and see what's in there B4 sending the oil out for analysis . What ever you do I would stop driving it until the problem is resolved.

I would look at MAF sensor, maybe swap it out for another to eliminate or look for air leak
