PMC i saw what i saw. and i sure as hell didn't see Mayweather connect twice as much as Pac. and neither did 95% of the other people. Even the goofballs i see on tv telling me he won are saying 'he stayed on his game and let Pacquiao chase him.' How the hell is running winning a fight?
excuse me, don't want to confuse 'boxing' with fighting. |

I watched the fight as well and 95% of other people are just hating because everyone and their mother wanted to see mayweather lose. Mayweather has done the same thing this fight, as he's done on the other 47. But now all of a sudden Mayweather can't fight or box, or whatever excuse people want to give. Yes, Manny was the aggressive one, but throwing random punches and hitting air, gloves, or arms does not count. Mayweather was landing a lot of jabs that did count, because it hit manny's face or body.
And Mayweathers style of defensive fighting isn't the only person to fight like that. there are ways to attack a defensive fighter. It happens all the time, and the defensive fighter loses. Mayweather has just perfected it. The point of boxing is to hit and not get hit. Not stand there and just whale on each other. if you want that, you need to watch the heavyweight boxers, because they are too slow, or UFC. lol The numbers don't lie. it would be very easy to rewatch the tape and count the punches. I'm sure it's already been done. There is no controversy.

Here's the thing. This fight was so huge, there were so many people that have never watched a boxing match in their life, let alone watching mayweather. I've seen quite a few mayweather fights, so I know his style. He's a defensive fighter. he backs away and strikes when he knows he'll land a punch. Here is a prime example, his 47th win.
You can go back and watch all his other fights, and that's what he does, and it was never scrutinized about the way he fights, until now. When so many people are watching the "Fight of the Century". That's all i'm saying. If anyone thought Mayweather was going to do something different, surely has never seen Mayweather. And there is nothing wrong with playing defensively. It's got him one win shy of Rocky Marciano's 49-0 record. People should also look up defensive boxing. There have been some greats. It's a style of boxing. People don't have to like it, but to say Mayweather can't fight or box, is far from the truth.
