JUST GO OFF THE PHONE WITH THE DEALER, CAR IS BUILT!!. HE SAID THEY ARE NOT INVOICING THE CARS UNTILL THEY ARE ABOUT TO BE DELIVERED, sorry bout the caps just noticed, any.. so any one thats been sitting at 3400 for awhile might have their car built but GM just hasnt changed the status. He was just called by someone and told that the car was built, he also saids he has been in the bizz for 16yrs and never seen GM do it qute like this. My car also does not hav a VIN yet because they havent invoiced it yet.. Hope this helps!! it sure help my ass!! lol ive been waiting for any new information and actualy prayed for my car to get made today!! and loook what happend!!

2SS RS black, he said it will get a VIN when it gets invoiced and doesnt no why its being done this why, its all new to him

we are all getting vins.

but alot of cars have been sitting at 3400 status with out updates for 2weeks or so, and this would explain why

Yeah, I was at 3400 for about 2 weeks, got my VIN today, and my event status history showed all stages from 3800 to 4B00 happening all in 1 day. Of course, this COULD mean that GM is updating as they can and the dates listed are the entry dates, not the actual dates. If that were the case, my baby could actually be a week closer than I think.

Mine went to 3800 today and I received my VIN. No invoice yet...

You guys are drinkin too much kool aid. If the car comes off the line the vin is done that day and it goes 3800 that day then it goes to 4000 and 4104 and 4b00 shortly after. The numbers dont lie and the plant is not building 800 cars a day.

I believe what the OP means is , they just don't have the vin # yet, obviously if it's built, there's a vin.
I also believe they have built cars, that have not been updated in the system yet....why not? everything else has been screwy, why not the event status updates too.

VIN is available when unit is built at 3800. Dealer just needs to ask for it. Sometimes they (DBC) don't want to give it because a dealer asking for VIN info can indicate that they're trying to deliver the vehicle before they are in possession of it (for incentive purposes). So some dealers prefer to wait until they have an invoice to avoid misdirected suspicion

I have been at 3400 for two weeks, met with my dealer today he said he would make a call this afternoon to try to get an update for me.

ive been invoiced since the 9th of may and to tell you the truth dont trust anybody

300 too. as post before, GM CS is stating the new proceedure is notification ur pulled, workbench updated at 3000 then the next call u get will be 3800 and here's ur VIN.
