Canceling 10/08 order - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I was the first order from my dealer on the first possible day. As of today still don't have car and nobody can seem to find vehicle. It was made on 4/04 and went to quality control. Dealer can't find out why and I've called GM and they don't seem to know anything. Dealer has received vehicles ordered after mine and is as frustrated as I am. Must be something seriously wrong with it and I no longer want it. (2SS, RS, SIM with CG stripes). Have always drive vets, but wanted one of the first Cameros. Fun is now out of it with so many being delivered. No wonder GM is taking BK. Don't even know now if I want another Vet. Just bought a 2010 Lexus RX350 and thing I may get the New IS conv. This experience has been very disappointing.

By the way, this is the first time I've posted, but have been listening with interest to all of your discussions from the beginning. Learned way more about the Camero from this forum then any where else. Thanks to everyone.

sorry dont blame you. But you might be better off ordering one now they car coming faster. But thank you as well, this will help mine come faster.

This sounds like our story. My son's car (VIN 4486) was built 4/21 and a VIN assigned on 4/22. Since then when we look in the dealers system all we see are NUMEROUR Intermediate In-Transit and Bayed entries. Something like 10 of each.

He's been calling his District Manager for weeks only being told the car is in Canada or Michigan or in transit or we'll call you when it's shipped.

The latest story from the District Manager is that about a week ago it was in Michigan waiting to be shipped via rail to the delivery/holding area in Wentzville Mo (about 50 miles from my dealer). But as of yesterday only SLIENCE.

This is ridicules.

Um... I dont think the IS convertible is going to be a suitable replacement for a 2SS... nice car? YES! But... not a Camaro with 426hp. My advice would be to reorder now. You'll get it in 6 to 8 weeks tops, so long as the dealer you order from has allocations.

Don't leave us...what this R6P is all about is the WAITING not the CAR...it's become biblical what we've gone through..like the story of Job...gotta say tuned if for just a little more punishment

Patience of Job is needed, especially for the early order R6P cars.

I would hope you would want the car to be "Right" when you get it and not messed up.
