Same thing happened to me a while back, stuck pressure relief valve. Melling installed oil pressure up and no damage other than my wallet. So yeah I would say the stock pump has issues.

Seeing is how you don't here as many problems on ls1tech, Performancetrucks.net, or any other related ls forum. I think I can safely say that yes it's more of a problem on here than anywhere else go take a look around if you want.

mine went out as well. not many miles on it either.

^^its been a problem for 13' too I've read..I guess they didnt do anything to correct that. They will suck it up till the new LT1 goes in and LS3 goes out of production.
