To be safe, pull the rocker covers and inspect everything.
Use a strong magnet on the bottom of the oil pan and see if you can draw more pins to the drain plug hole.
Yes, it could be a needle bearing if it was wearing on other moving parts creating the taper.
Did you have the stock rockers fail before doing the upgrade?
I pulled out more of those possible needle bearings and they all taper down to a point on one side.

Weird the taper but, I’m still going with some sort of bearing.

Are you the original owner? Maybe previous owner had rocker failures. Still doesn’t explain low oil pressure unless plugging the pickup tube or inside the oil pump

It’s a PITA but it might be worth pulling the pan

No I’m not but that is a possibility of the pump being clogged

Pretty sure those are rocker bearings they don't look uniformly tapered it looks like wear is what caused the taper to me. The big pieces of metal aren't too much of a concern, it's little pieces that cause the problems in oil passages or possibly oil pump. They may be leftovers from a previous failure threat hadn't worked their way down to the oil pan yet if the previous owner had rocker bearing failures

Well you definitely were right about them being rocker bearings. Any idea how many bearings are in an individual rocker?

I went with the BTR V2 trunnion upgrade. Still has needle bearing but are captive behind thrust washers and retainer rings. I was concerned the bronze bushings would wear too fast more than I was concerned the V2's would fail.
