Looks like 3 choices for airports: Nashville, Atlanta and Orlando. Which is the most senic relaxed drive to Camaro5fest and how do you check availability of camaro's at Nashville INT. Alaska Airlines from Seattle WA.

I dont know the most scenic/relaxed drive to take, but to check availability of camaros, check out Avis or Budget and put in the airport code to see if they have anything

IMHO Orlando Intl would be a good airport to fly into pick up a Camaro and follow a bunch of us up from Central Florida to Valdosta.
FYI below is a list of airports close to C5f w/ Camaros available and not available. All locations were checked with Avis. -Valdosta Regional Airport has the Camaro LT Available, the SS is sold out. -Orlando Intl Airport has both the LT & SS available it's approx 4 hour drive to Valdosta from Orlando and you can fly non-stop from Sea-tac to Orlando on Alaska Airlines. -Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson Intl has both the LT & SS available approx a 3-3.5 hour drive to Valdosta from the airport. You can fly non-stop to Atlanta from Sea-Tac on Alaska Airlines. -Panama City Regional Airport has the Camaro LT available no SS listed. -Tallahassee Regional Airport has the Camaro LT available no SS listed I checked Jacksonville Intl Airport , Tampa International, do not have the Camaro listed Hope this helps Sean

One problem with renting Camaros from Avis. They wont let you reserve them. Its luck of the draw if they have them when you get there. I tried a few times, granted this was in June, but they would not let me reserve them. They had a bunch on hand but I just ahd to go to the airport and see if they still had any. This was ant the Indy Airport.
Good luck! |

In the past two weeks I have driven up to Atlanta and down to Tampa both ways on I75.
First you're not going to get a relaxing drive on I75, quick but not relaxing. Georgia is adding lanes to the interstate just north of Adel (event location); It took me an hour to get through Tifton at 5 mph. Be prepared to be surrounded by concrete barriers. Florida is wall to wall cars with the slower cars cruising the speed limit in the fast lane and cars zig zagging 90 mph in the slow lanes trying to pass. If I had to choose I would take the Orlando option too. Just don't plan on being able to use your cruise control too much. Have a safe trip! Last edited by Jay_LHD3; 01-07-2010 at 12:59 PM. |

Not a bad ride they have had construction going on for the past 7 years I travel it every April and May with my pickup truck towing my 24ft enclosed car hauler w/ Camaro inside with no issues. I just returned from a trip to Atlanta via I-75 no problems just watch out for the cops in Adel parked on the overpass.

Orlando drive is flat with lotsa trees... Atlanta drive is hilly with lotsa trees... Nashville is almost a days drive and it's hilly with lotsa trees, altho you could get on some back roads and see some really pretty country... and trees LOL
