Lexan back glass will drop another 40, and contemplating getting a sheet metal drivers seat to swap in for race days for another 30.

Mines 3520 currently without swapping to my skinnies and drag rafials

Well it's not really a removal..but more a replacement.

The aFe Control series coilovers, the Featherlites, remove about 30lbs off the stock suspension weight.

they're right about $3,000, but you'll be picking up a better, adjustable suspension and losing 30lbs at the same time.

Perfect thread. Here's how much my car weights with me in it and a 1/2 tank gas. Stock rims. My supercharger weights 125lbs.
I guess first is remove the hotchkins race pack. All kinds of frame connecting bars under the car. Gut the trunk. Wonder how much the mufflers weigh. Borlas. Already have long tubes.
What about carbon fiber axle and drive shafts? Can they handle 600 + rwhp?
I just traded in a cammed and header c6 that weighed 3160. Low 11's on street tires. Weight is a huge deal.
Also, heavy ass car with lots of power is murder on the axles.

Common sense is do easy weight reduction first, and then spend money. I'd do lighter rotors for the right price.

So a friend about my weight drove the car over to the Beech Bend scales and said it was 4175 with him in it.

Per my weight post a few pages ago, 3980 early last summer. I'll hit some scales again when I swap my 18's back on front and back, but I think even before installing this light battery, I'm going to hit 3870-3900. Let's say 3900. 4175-3900 = 275 lbs. That's from wheels, tires, exhaust, removing some little stuff from the car, no mats, no stuff in the trunk.
Well I been Daily driving my 5.5" clutch for a few thousand miles now and have made 30 passes with it @ 3900LB RW. So far so good. Took some tuning to tame it down.

Is there any chassis stiffening issues when removing the front bumper?

Sealant in drivers compartment is worth about 8 pounds. This is just what we scraped with a torch and scrapers. Took a wire wheel to get more out.

Most us don't run a sway bar.

I have the BMR rear drag bar, probably heavier than stock.
