Disappointing Superchips numbers

Disappointing numbers after Superchips tune
2SS/RS L99 A6. Only mods are Superchips tune with AFM disabled. I was expecting somewhere in the 330's RWHP

2SS/RS L99 A6. Only mods are Superchips tune with AFM disabled. Although I didn't get numbers before the tune, 322 RWHP seems about average for BONE STOCK.
And whats with the cavernous drop in torque between 2700 and 3700 RPM?

I've read about that but don't suspect that to be an issue though. The complaints I've read from people doing that were about feeling a lack of power. Seat of your pants gauge says plenty of power and with T/C disabled will break the rear end loose shifting into second gear. But i guess it wouldn't hurt to try it.

Would it be recommended to put stock tune back on car prior to doing the fuse pull?

I think the majority of us who did the fuse pull on our L99's had stock cars, but I could be wrong. Try the fuse pull with the current tune and see if there is any change. Good luck buddy!

Re-read the fuse pull thread and found my answer........

However it is important to note that you shouldn't need to try the fuse pull if you've only used high octane gas since getting a custom tune, because burning the tune to the ECU resets all volatile memory.

Will be looking into it. Already fired off an e-mail to Superchips.

You truely can't complain if you don't know your before power.

You need to compaire a stock dyno vs. a modded dyno to see what the superchips power increase was.

First off
Your car is running fine (bone stock). You don't need to do the fuse pull mod by looking at your dyno number. Your (bone stock) L99 is very capable of low 13s as it sits.

Now about the Superchips, thats a different issue. But I wouldn't expect much (but you should see some improvement) from a hand held pragrammer with a canned tune.

Mav
True. Considering replacing stock tune and putting it back on the Dyno

Also the tune should have set the correct Octane table for you. Fuse pull wouldn't help there...

Another Cali member dynoed his L99 car completely stock at 338 RWHP or so.
Another one did 328 RWHP completely stock as well.
