bucket seats?

does anyone know whether the 2 front bucket seats from a 69 camaro would fit in an 86 berlinetta? because my friends dad was going through HIS dads old garage, and found this broken down 69 in there. the whole car was apparently a project he was working on before he died. his dad was just going to junk the whole car, since there was no engine, and it was rusted really bad, but i looked at the seats, and they are in good condition. i just want to kno whether they would fit in my car or not, cuz they are gold and black leather, which would go with the rest of my car too. and if they would fit, any tips on swapping out the seats would also be very much appreciated. Thanx!

to the OP.... they might fit. you might have to adjust the tracks for them. or take the tracks from the 86 and mount them on the seats from the 69. why not pick up the whole car? get a crate motor and drop in there.

anyways I would think they fit but make sure to TAKE the entire seat set up(tracks) with the seats, cause you can probably take the entire seat set up out and put the new set up in

i cant, because there is no engine bay, or tranny, or really anything. believe me, i would LOVE to hav a 69. the 69 camaro is the car tht got me interested in camaros in the firstplace. thts y im interested in the seats. and i mite be able to get the whole set up, tracks and everything, but i dont know how to swap out the ones i hav with the 69 ones. and i cant afford to fix up a car as in bad shape as tht, i dont even hav enough money to fix up my 86. its gonna be YEARS before this one is done lol

the first question is will a set of 1st gen seats fit in a 3rd gen & the other way, The answer is NO but you can make them fit.

its fairly simple all you have to do is place the seats where you want them & drill for the new tracks.
