Order WorkBench Question

I searched and couldn't find any info.

My dealer gave me today my Order WorkBench printout for my Camaro order that I placed last week. I ordered a 1LT/RS package. On the order it shows my MSRP at $26,890 without DFC and $27,685 with DFC. It's listed in the middle of the page under Preferred Equipment Group, then the options I ordered at the bottom of the page and onto the second page. Is the MSRP shown for the car and the options I assume, because the 1LT does not MSRP for $26,890. Chevy's website shows $27,315 with DFC for the car I ordered, so why a price difference? Can the dealer change prices themselves on WorkBench? Just wanted to make sure the dealer isn't pulling any funny business.

Thanks!

Those prices are a reflection of what's on the Order Workbench sheet. The only way it changes is if the equipment changes.

Chevy's website is NOT an official pricing medium.

The order workbench shows $26,890 msrp, everything I've seen shows $23k and change. So what does that mean?

Double check that your dealer is not charging a dealer premium. If they are not then the price you are looking at is the cost of the car plus the RS package.

I did ask when I ordered if it was msrp, they told me yes it was. Can the dealer put any price on the order workbench?

Scott is going to have to answer that one. Since my dealer only charged MSRP I am not sure if a premium would show up on the workbench print out or not. My guess is that the price you are looking at includes the RS package.

We cannot change any pricing in workbech it is all automatically in there. There is no manual way to adjust anything.

What am I missing? You start off by saying the dealer is at $27865 and Chevy's website is at $27315; your dealer being $550 more. Then you go on to talk about 23k. Where does 23k come from?

Here's a pic of the invoice, maybe it's everything added up for a total, I just wanted to make sure that wasn't the base price plus the options I added. That would be way over sticker and that is a no go for me.

No the MSRP on your order is the total price including all options and dealer freight charge that is you total the 550 dollar difference from the website to your price is the advertising for your region. Advertising is different from dealer to dealer based on where they are located so on the chevy website they have no way of including that.

Ahh, that makes me feel better! I just saw that MSRP for the 1LT then all the options and I thought that the total was MSRP the car plus the options added up to the total, that would have been $30K

Advertising has NO effect on MSRP.

Just a note...

Isn't IOM now a premium color like RJT? There's no charge for that on there so don't be surprised to see another $375 (I think) added to that in the long run...
