Going to potentially purchase a used 2SS

Hey all, I decided to go with a 2SS camaro rather than a corvette due to the back seat, my wife overruled me given we have a kid (even though we have a cherokee). Anyway i'm going to buy a used 2SS in blue (potentially) and it does have a wreck on the carfax stating:

Accident reported
Involving left side impact
with another motor vehicle
Functional damage reported
Airbags did not deploy

I guess my thoughts are, anything you all think i should look really close at or be concerned based on that report? the car is listed at 34K it has 7.5K miles, I should probably try to get it for less right? It's 2ss has nav, black wheels, hud, dual control climate, heated/cooled seats, lighting package, park assist, cross traffic, blind spot. Only thing it doesn't have is the MAG it seems like.

Thoughts?

Overruled by wife? Glad to see I’m not an anomaly. Anyhoo, different topic 4 a new day.

IMHO: it would be a hard pass for me. There are just too many good deals on used 2SS’s out there to go that route. That would be like buying a box of chocolates in a damaged, opened and torn box. I know you’re smarter than Forest, right?

And I would stay with Gen6 unless you have an unspoken romance with Gen5 that needs to be scratched (no judgement: I’ve been there). Again just one goofball’s opinion.

As long as the accident is fixed right, who cares? If it looks and drives right and a clean title, It doesn't matter. It's fixed.

Now, flood/water damage is a whole different animal.

I agree with this but definitely get some more money off.

I would pass.
FYI nav is a $500 option and black five spoke wheels is a $200 option. Everything else you listed is standard on a 2SS.

Hard pass. Setup for lingering painful issues and a you'll take a huge hit on resale value later!

Fwiw I just bought a hyper blue 2016 2SS with pretty much all options (including magride), 10k miles, auto, at a dealership for $32k. Clean carfax and no issues to date. I bought her a little over a month ago.

I would pass also. There are so many more used 2SSs out there with no accident history.

Agreed.

Unless you work at a body shop and are going to put the car on a measuring table to confirm proper repair - move on to a thousand others with no recorded accident history.

At one time I inspected cars for a living. It's unbelievable the hidden things I found and saved someone thousands and years of aggravation.

Buyer beware

Personally I'd pass unless you could get it for 30 at the most. That's just me though.
