Meh,

Look at it this way, If you drive the car heavy and have a blast, and still get 20 MPG, thats 48 gallons of fuel on your trip. If you baby it and drive in the right lane with a light right foot and get 25.7MPG you use 37.5 gallons of fuel.

Is a boring drive worth saving 40 clams? No.

it depends if you fill it up when the light comes one, or when the tanks empty. when the light comes on you have more than 4 gal. left

I average 18-24 mpg. 7k 8 months old. Jackrabbit starts often, occasional toll road miles.

I've always been really anal about what I am getting on gas mileage because I like to time for stops at the cheaper stations. What I have found after a 960 mike road trip is its more fuel efficient (if driven conservatively) then I had originally thought. After resetting every gauge and tracker on the car I started my trip with a full tank. Now the 1LE has a 16 gallon tank in the car. More then likely the gen 4 had a larger fuel tank. And I think the standard SS has a bigger tank as well. As I finished my trip I had filled my car 3 times and had little over a 1/4 of a tank left. I averaged 411 miles per tank at 25.7 mpg. It shocked the hell outta me because my old liberty got about the same with 2 less cyl and a 20 gallon tank. Go figure but as for city driving and my lead foot I get around 15.8. This is all stock btw nothing done yet but soon I look to improve not only power but fuel mileage as well.
Also forgot to add I averaged 76.7 mph the whole way so no light right lane 60 the whole way....

Im currently getting 17.5 mpg (reset every tank). 99.99% city driving. I shift at 2k and skip gears (1-3-5). DIC on a fresh tank says 320 mile range.

For what its worth, the 2013 Camaro 1LE (and the other 2013 Camaros for that matter) have a 19 gallon fuel tank. Gen 4 cars had a 15 gallon tank.

I have no clue how many miles to the tank....... I've only driven the car twice. All I know is my wife said it has just under 800 miles on it lol. I think she said the computer said average mileage was something like 14.5mpg or 15mpg. It's probably about right for as she just runs around town with it, I figured no tune since some mods isn't helping things and it's still pretty fresh with the low miles on it.

I made the switch from an 11 SS to my 1LE as you break it in the millage will get better and is better than my old SS.

Also on a 285 mile stretch of very "spirted" driving with a 11 SS though the mountains we both filled up at the same places and after the 285 mile he needed $7 more fuel than I did. The 1LE gets better fuel economy but not by much

I have no idea what the mileage is on my car. I just fill it when it tells me to.

Mine were 16.2 I did actually run it almost dry on my 2000, filled it up with 16.1XX gallons but I also made it from San Diego all the way to Modesto on that tank
