I absolutely love my Recaro seats, but they look so much better with that z28 logo on them

What is meant by that? Recaro won't sell the seats, but gm can? or that gm won't sell the seats either, except in sections. |

The Recaros have been getting good reviews form current owners. However for SS owners who do not track their car the seats are a waste of $$, unless looking cool is worth $2K.
I wonder, are the Recaros lighter than the standard SS seats? I am disappointed that the manual Z/28 Recaros only save 4 pounds per seat. But maybe that is just the savings over the powered Recaros. The SS Camaro seats weight a ton, I had hoped that mod would save more. Hopefully the Z/28 Recaros will be cheaper than the powered versions. Power seats are an oxymoron in a performance car. Same with 2SS and RS. It's all just bling.

Not judging. But there is something very alluring about a minimalist purpose built car if performance is your thing. Like a Camaro with Welds, skinnies, and slicks or the Z/28.

That 8 pounds combines with other weight-saving measures -- taking out the trunk carpet and insulation, installing thinner glass for the rear window, making air conditioning optional and removing all but one speaker – make the Z/28 about 300 pounds lighter than a supercharged Camaro ZL1.
So a zl1 weighs 4100 and ss weighs 3850 and the z28 weighs 3800 mine weighs 3600 something , can we can get a camaro that weighs right at 3000

I would be extremely interested in sourcing Recaros if they will sit even lower than my regular '13 SS power leather seats.
Short of me of finding a dealer, just to sit in one and then leave, can anyone here confirm if they sit even lower and thus offer more head room when wearing a helmet? |
