There some people that deserve special thanks for the AC.

Dan Howard (600HP-LPE) and Rob Anderson (Rob@Wretched)

These two guys were there early on Thursday setting up the course. GTAHVT did his very best to coordinate AC support with Firebird and the SCCA. In the end, it was the Camaro5 TEAM of Moderators along with Dan and Rob who made this event possible.

Friday Mike Haddad (Haddad Motorsport) got into town and pitched in with a 110% effort for the weekend. You'll never know what really went on behind the scenes -- insufficient supply of cones, no marble dust for striping the track, no scoring system... None of that matters. We are all Camaro5 community members and we pulled together and made it happen.

To ALL of the Camaro 5 Moderators in attendance -- Thank you very much for your support. You are a great group. If their is ever anything you need all you have to do is ask.

Dan,

What can I say. You busted your butt all winter long to get your car ready for the FEST. Then you came to the FEST and busted your butt getting the AC ready. I know your car wasn't close to dialed in when you arrived, but it is close now and you are ready with a WEAPON to start your FIRST full SCCA season with a built 5th Gen!. Thank you for all your hard work and please THANK JEANNIE too. She didn't sign up for track duty, but she was there when we needed her.

Rob,

You are my #1 Pedders Dealer and family. You and Kim were over the top. Your driving is nothing short of spectacular. Rob won't toot his own horn so I will. GREAT JOB ROB. KIM jumped in and just like Jeannie was there when we needed her. You guys are too much. If I were a 5th Gen owner and needed and expert to talk to you would be at the top of my list. Thank you both.

Mike,

I still remember you attending our first Dealer Meeting in Vegas. We have come a long way together. I cannot thank you and Hamilton enough for your hard work at the AC. On the other hand, I wouldn't expect anything less. For those of you that don't know Mike, go visit him at hiss shop and ask him to take you out for a canyon run. That is AC with life life and death consequences.

Mike (MisterCamaro69)

You bailed us out of a tough one. Umpteen cars and no corner workers -- until Mike and his kids took on the job for the ENTIRE course. It took SEVEN people to replace three. They came as guests and got drafted. They got the wrong end of the stick and remain our friends. That is exactly what QUALITY people do. It is easy to say you are friend when there is no trouble. When trouble hits ONLY your friends remian.

To the entire C5 Community,

Thank you for your patience while we sorted through issues with the AC. In the end, I think we got everyone more runs than they expected. I sincerely hope you had a great time, especially those that were there for the first time. The Camaro5FEST is a COMMUNITY event and we wanted to make your AC experience a GREAT one. Please let your friends know how much you enjoyed it and how great it would be if they join us at C5FEST III for the Autocross!!!!

C5FEST III here we come!!!!

The Autocross was about the funnest thing going on at the Fest!
I had a blast right up until Pete told me about some new secret Pedders parts good for 4/10's in the 1320.
He knows if they will still allow me to run like Dan in the corners I am going to have to have them.......at this rate I will never finish this car!
Then of course, what fun would it be if I could'nt keep making it better?

Pete, Thanks to all your team for putting on a great event! It was a blast, even with my 3 DNF's =) But for my first event, Im ok with that!! Didnt get a chance to shake your hand and say thanks, but I really do love my shiny red parts, and look forward to adding more! =)

Lesson 1) That was a slalom, not a high speed section...
Lesson 2) More sunscreen!

Jason

I got two DNF's and my last run was a 58.8. I only wish I had gotten there earlier as I was finally getting an idea as to the layout of the track. I'm sure I could have improved from there after finding out where in the track I could have cut my time down. Next time I'll have some wider tires and even more suspension parts.
