LFX CAI Filter Replacement - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have a 2012 V6 Camaro with a CAI intake mounted. Currently it has the CAI filter, but the filter has hit the end of its life, and a cleaning won't really fix it this time. I'm looking at buying a new filter only for my intake. Currently I know I can buy the CAI filter from their website.

Has anyone bought a different brand filter for either cheaper, or a different sound or performance? I realize this may be a stupid question, but I like to research before I buy.

I have a RotoFab and have purchased from S&B Filters, it was item # R1242 I believe. It was blue and looked great under my hood. It lasted a few years and I went back to an standard replacement filter this year from RF (just for different look). But there are others out there that fit, and work great. Sound and function was the same from S&B.
