Hey IrocJack. It looks like Im having the same issues as you or atleast very similar. My Camaro wont start at all now. Do you know exactly what it was they fixed and where it was. It would be nice if i could do it myself without having to have it towed to the dealer. thanks.

Any update on this? What bolt was stripped?

Had this happen in the middle of a road trip in Montana from Florida. Car did eventually start and run fine for several days, then happened again once, just once and run perfectly for the remainder of the trip.

Will be having Chevy check codes, but it was disturbing to have it clunk out like it did. Very glad to not have to tow it 50+miles to the nearest town. Attributed to gravel and dust from many miles on unpaved roads. I have pressure washed the underside of the car and rear bumper thinking dust and debris caused the initial issue. Not sure though.

Mike

I just got mine back from the dealer. It turned out that my problem was the power cable to the fuse box was loose. Its under the fuse box, thats why i didnt notice it.

They dealer did not contact you? TERRIBLE SERVICE!
If GM crossed threaded a bolt on the build of the vehicle GM should cover it. IMO

Just had then exact same thing happen tonight as described above. I have a 2012 2/SS with just over 8,000 miles. Drove several places and after the third stop, when I started the car it immediately shut off. Started it again and the Service Park Assist DIC message came up and a bunch of dummy lights lit. The brake light stayed lit after taking the parking brake off and the headlights wouldn't turn on automatically. Made it home (about 7 miles) but the digital speedometer went to 0 MPH and the bell started chiming about a mile from home. Parked and let it sit for 10 minutes and tried restarting. It started and then shut off 2 separate times. I'll be contacting the dealer tomorrow.
