Torque the Lug Nuts?

Does anyone actually torque the lugs when they put their wheels back on?
I never have, but I also put more behind the tightening then I probably should. Just wondering if I should try torque instead of cracking too much on them.

P.S. What it the actual torque for the lugs anyway?

Thx

Service manual says 140 ft-lbs
Factory installs them at 100 ft-lbs
I install them at 110 ft-lbs

Yes, you should always torque lugs. Uneven can cause the looser ones to work loose over time, and uneven can also cause brake rotors to warp.

Yes you should always torque your lug nuts, if you don't tighten them evenly you could warp the wheel or rotor. It has happened to me on my HHR at a discount tire place when they used the air wrench to tighten them instead of snugging them up first then using a Torque wrench to finish the job. Always also use the Star method to tighten them.
The torque specs should be listed in the owners manual. I will check and see.

I just checked, the owners manual says 110 ft lbs.

I do and when I was a mechanic I used torque sticks on every car I worked on.
