I agree with Nine Ball. This looks like a cooling issue. Once more of these get out there and start racing, we'll know for sure.

Where did he say it was a cooling issue...

All cars will lose power from being hot on a dyno.

I know he didn't. I'm agreeing with his notion that this isnt a tuning issue from the factory as some sort of a safe mode till they've done 1500 miles or what not. Dyno's have proven these cars are putting out what they're supposed to at early miles. I'm saying it looks like it could be a cooling issue. Very bad heat soak causing issues after a few runs and what not. The motortrend example and the video of the viper vs z06 seems to showcase that.

If this is the case, then why has NO ONE published excessive IATs while running their back-to-back-to-back dyno sessions?

It's still CONJECTURE, without substantive proof from anyone regarding anything.

I would hope that a few back to back dyno runs wouldnt show a cooling issue, otherwise the Z06 has a huge issue on its hand. Yes, it is all conjecture though.

When you're using the horn as a starter or have dark tint you roll the window down. Street race anyone?

Unpossible! Everyone who's a "car guy" knows the Z06 is a dog; just listen to the guys on the internet!

Well...so does that settle that? lol

May not settle the possible heat soak "issue" but sure does seem to show that the Z can keep up with, or whoop up on the Viper in a roll race.

Just more data points. We probably won't have a good feel for things until we see more of each in head-to-head match ups.
