I love my V6. I'm ok with it not being called a muscle car. I've even been thinking about buying a 2016 2.0T Camaro to add to the pack.
Hey, you could call your garage, Camaro- Team Turbo !!

like v6 with RS package.supposedly they are limited at 155 compared to 118 for the plain v6...something to do with tires.

This ↑↑↑ . . . it's about limiting the car to a speed no greater than the speed rating of the OE tires fitted to it.

The "Camaro must have a V8" people here still don't seem to understand that without the V6 the Camaro nameplate might be exactly where it was back around . . . 2006. Be careful what you wish for.

The turbo-4 doesn't change that. All it does is add another dimension to the "not V8" side of the discussion.

Quite frankly, I don't understand the butt-hurt that gets exhibited over the mere existence of the V6 and L4-T trims. They do not dilute your own car's V8 trim except in your imagination - and that's strictly on your shoulders. Either own it as an unwarranted belief or let go of it.

There is zero reason that a Camaro can't be used for the ordinary stuff like commuting or most runs to the store. Why not at least inject a little enjoyment and driving fun into those otherwise mindless little runs?

Not sure if you're referring to what I said but if you are, I didn't even see what the thread was about before I responded to his question. I have nothing against the v6 cars and turbo 4 cars

No, not in reference to anything you said. The bulk of it was aimed further back, at some of the posts between about 10 and 30.

IIRC the RS package tires and wheels were the same regardless of what the powertrain might have been, and rated for the higher speed.

I recall seeing one post from a member who said he got hisV-6 RS up to 152 before he ran out of road to safely decelerate. Car and driver or road and track, can't remember which one it was, disabled the ecu speed limiter and said the terminal speed they reached for a V-6 RS Camaro was 162 mph, the SS was 175, and the ZL1 was 191. This test was done before the Z28 was released so I don't know what max speed was for it. All cars tested were in stock form with no modifications.
