Lost a bearing testing a nitrous hit on e85 gas. Mine had hundreds of pass and nearly 100k miles on it at the time.

are you sure u just dont have a bad exhaust leak on the bank 1 side?

There are metal shavings in the filter. I added new oil, removed the plugs, and attempted to turn it by hand. It took a 2.5' breaker bar to get it to spin and it has a lot of resistance. With the plugs removed the key was able to get the engine to crank over but seemed a off.

I'd pull off the intake manifold (easy) and check all the valves for straightness/damage. Might help determine if if chain or other issue caused valves and pistons to collide.

Can you get it to turn over enough for compression test?

Yes -that's a good suggestion. Thanks! - my next move is compression testing and then continuing the tear down from there.

I had the same issues I'm about to change my 2012 lfx engine out for a 2015 Lfx because I cant seem to find any 2012s wish me luck boys I hope everything goes well

How did it turn out? I just heard that the gauge cluster wiring is different on the 2013 and up and wu t work with the 2012? I have a 2012 that I need swapped but can only find a 2013.

Same thing happened to me. I just bought an engine out of a 2015 equinox which is auto, I have manual, was told it would work.
