How much money are you willing to spend? Do you care about powertrain warranty?

Are you looking to stay N/A, supercharged, turbo? What kind of numbers are you looking to get, 600?

+1. If you want to keep your warranty you'd be better off sticking to some simple bolt ons. Catback, intake maybe a throttle body. If your warranty isn't to important grab some long tube headers. If money is no object throw a supercharger on it. Tons of ways to make power!

Don't mod, buy some wheels and tires and call it a day. Once you start modifying you won't stop.

I'd stick to the intakes and catbacks for the time being.

No CELs and keep your warranty. (mostly, obviously your emissions warranty is out the window)

Skip the catback unless you just want more noise, no HP there.

So is your Drivetrain warranty Don't think for a minute your fooling anyone with this.

Modify anything in the drive train and the risk is the same when it comes to warranty on a blown engine or drive train part.

You have to accept the responsibility that goes with Modding of Any Sort.

You can't expect GM to Pay for your Broken parts when you modified them in any way shape or form.

A Dealer service manager can Void your Warranty if the car is all stock something breaks and they suspect Abuse Alone!

Bolt on parts without a tune is like running in Boots.

I rrespect your opinion Ted. But I disagree. Definitely the tune is a dealer no-no and a warranty voider. I wish it weren't so. I agree bolt-on mods are a warranty risk. If I think my mods caused a problem I would not even take it to a dealer, I would just fix it myself or pay to have it fixed. But even though I may have to fight, I think I at least have a chance to prove my bolt-on mods did not cause a problem.

For me, once my car reaches about 25k and the drivetrain is sound I will stop worrying about the drive train warranty and get a tune.

I also have to wonder just what is abuse in a Camaro? After all Chevy included Launch Control, an abuse enabler.

And my bolt-on SS runs great and is much faster than stock. But probably running a little rich. I would love to disable torque management and get my A/F in order. But for me right now the tune consequences are too dire.

And to the OP, if your warranty is your first concern do not add any bolt-ons. Stick to floor mats and gas cap covers. You have to pay to play sometimes.

By the way Ted, those BFEs are awsome as you said they woudl be. Thanks.
