fun day at strip
Ran my camaro yday with a 12.1 @ 116 mph. 60' 1.9 really need some drag radials. Pzeros cost alot of time scratching for traction. Need some suggestions on track tires.
Her car 08 pontiac g8 pulled in a 13.4 @ 105mph. Same 60' times as my modded camaro. Impressive little cars they are. We both had a great time.

If you want a good tire for the track, it'll be a DR. But like John said above, is it a track/weekend driver, or a daily? If it's a daily then you'll have a hard time keeping traction in the rain.

I'm willing to bet that he has an auto. Those ET's with that amount of HP and the HP numbers themselves makes me think he has a cammed l99

Yea cammed auto. Just a set to run on track days is what im after. No experience with drag tires. Rather not go modifying brakes and such. Just need a tire to hook with what i got. Bolt em on at the house or the track. Dont matter. Not running an aftermarket stall but wheel spin sucks thru 3 gears. Ran em at 27psi and burned em was worth 2 tenths so im sure better rubber will help alot. Just no clue on what is enough vs overkill

Pick yourself up a pair of the Grand Sport replicas and a some Nittos or MTs for the track. Change them out before you leave and have fun

IMO - you can run NT555R's on a stock wheel and hook well....I use these and are great on the street/strip...last about 10-12k miles....I run mid 10's all day with them....

I'm running 275-40-20 Nitto 555R's and daily drive them but we'll see if they can still hook with the recent changes I made.
