is the 1le gonna be msrp? what should we fight for? i just let go of my z51 needed a bit more DD, how will those summer tires fair in california ? can it be a daily? the 1 le has been calling me for so long and I see a potential for a supercharger down the line that would annihilate all.

The 1LE is a 1SS. Go in and buy a 1SS for $35K or whatever crazy deal you can work out, THEN say 'Oh, this looks nice" and check the 1LE box.
If you go in and say you want a 1LE they will say it is a special car and want full msrp.

I hope people do this. Buy a 1SS....get the best crazy deal....Then check the box or have them order it then go in 2 days later and add the 1LE while still in status 1100.

It's just an option package, so don't let any dealer tell you it's "limited edition" or some crap like that...my plan is out the door for under the $44,400 msrp. Which should be doable, and I also have a $500 off Famers Bureau discount and will sign up for a GM Card and get another $500 off. I won't bring this up till I have my numbers worked out...

I am also going to get a price from Becky, if she is the lowest, I will buy from her and have her drop ship it to my local dealer.

knowing that they are discounting the camaro SS like $6000 in my area, I would try to get it for $40K. Most sales person don't know how special this car is so don't even mention it and maybe you can get a good deal.

I'll wait until winter 2018. Hopefully get it for under 40k OTD. Unless I decide to go for the ZL1 that is. I'm not doing anything till these cars have been out on tracks in the hands of real drivers for a year.

This is the huge advantage over the GT350.
1SS with an option box ticked off can be cheaper than MSRP. A gt350 not likely

$6000 off a '17? I've yet to see that without adding together all sorts of incentives and such...

What dealers? I'd make the trip south to save a few grand.

I'm sure he's talking about 16's. Which if you wanna wait until this time next year, sure you can probably score a left over 1LE with a discount.

If I could get out the door under 44 i'd be happy. Don't know how doable it is.

$6,000 off on 16 but they've had this discount for almost a year, so I suspect they will extend it to the 17 too pretty soon.

So I shouldn't check the box the day I order it if I fight for the 35k price ?

I know some of the folks at the dealer are not the sharpest tools in the shed but I don't think this will work very well. Also, pricing is not final until you take delivery anyway. Once the car arrives there will be a dealer invoice and finance guy in the back office that will catch everything.
