Engine high temp

Has anyone encountered the A/C off due to engine high temp indication?

No way the car was hot it had only been driven about a mile..
Any thoughts?

This has happened to me a few times, nothing to worry about from what I was told. Just unplug the ecm harness for a second and plug it back in and everything will reset.

My builder says if it was really overheating the PCM would shut the engine down..

Could've been the thermostat sticking open or faulty sensor.. The computer can't make sense of either one and diverts to a safe mode to include running the fans and killing the a/c...

I realize how displeasing it can be when faced with a unique concern like this Brolik10, and though you're seeking thoughts and opinions, I would be happy to communicate this situation with the designated Customer Experience Manager at your preferred dealer if you feel an official diagnosis is necessary. Feel free to message us privately if you'd like to proceed, or discuss this situation further.
