zl1 diff interchangeable gears with ss diff ?

can you use ss gears in a zl1 ? are there differences ?

No way!
Zl1 is I think a 9.9 inch diff.
I believe that the SS is an 8.6 inch.

Now you can swap the whole zl1 diff into the SS cradle.You would also need the zl1 half shafts to make it work.it is almost bulletproof after the diff swap.

There's no real aftermarket gear option for the zl1 diff. It's either GM 3.27 or 3.73.

Not to be Mr. Correctibutt, but it's 3.23 or 3.73. Wish there were more choices. The ZL1 diff is one strong mother.

I wish 3.50 gears were available for the ZL1 diff.
