I have installed Kooks longtubes with Hi-flo cats and a Borla cat back system with attak mufflers and do not have any drone. My car is just LOUD, on the interstate or at any speed it just purrs like a kitten. It is a 2014 SS L99. When it is wide open throttle it is obscenely loud....any way I love the sound

This is just a start up of my system with no revs ...like you it just purrs until I get on it...then its ear splitting loud outside the car....but excellent inside.

That mofo drones pretty bad at somewhere around 2k rpm's at 68-70mph in 6th gear.

I bought two Kooks R300-14 3in bullet race mufflers to weld in the back half of the X Pipe.

My car droned and sounded like shit. Then I installed my x-pipe and it sounds soooooooo good and has no drone...

I have been driving with open headers for a year and a half and love it. No headaches, no tickets, no problems. I love the sound, but thats just me.

The x pipe adds back pressure, thus eliminating the drone....do this ^^^^
