SO....PISSED....OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ordered the car Oct. 14th, 2008. 1st accepted order at the dealership. 2SS Victory Red with polished wheels, RS package and Hurst. Changed over to IBM when it became available. Deleted the Hurst option when it was constrainted. Not that Chevy actually told me either of these things, just found them by checking this site.

Car was built and VIN'ed back in mid-April. Its been "In Transit" for 5-6 weeks now. That's ridiculous enough. Dealer hasn't been able to find out where the hell the car is. I tried the 1-800-USELESS number, that was a total waste of time.

Finally, the car shows up on chevy's order tracking site today(Many thanks to UCFwoot for posting that) Hasn't worked until today. I check it out, and what's missing? The RS package! What the hell? How hard is this? Now I'm not sure if I'll even want to take deliverery on this or re-order. Do I accept something I don't really want? Do I go back to the end of the line and lose my RP6 code? I've been patient (9+ months). I've kept the faith. Thanks GM, here's one very angry customer. I don't know how many times I've defended GM, but if you can't even get something this simple right, why am I wasting my breath?

In transit for 5-6 weeks blows however, don't blame GM for missing the RS package. It is actually a question of if your dealer put the RS package on the order form. Do you have your workbench printout - I believe it is shown on there of what the dealer put in for the order.

disappointing......
but really, you will have to ask yourself.....
what exactly does the RS package have, that you cannot absolutely live without?

Go take a break from this...kewl down, relax and consider what's more important to you. Good luck with your decision.

Sorry, kind of a copout. You go speak to a Chevy Dealer who is party of the total GM experience. As far as I'm concerned, when I'm talking to a Chevy Dealer about an order- I am talking to GM. At minimum GM should have trained the dealer to use the order form right.

Stuff like price gouging, THATS the dealer, but all things pertaining to the order and receipt are a total GM package.

And don't forget there have been system glitches where changes to orders dropped the RS package; dealer should have rechecked everything.

True, but now that we know the dealer did put it on it is GMs fault.

I would still take the car, so you are missing HID lights, darker wheels and tail lights. To me it wouldn't be worth waiting on a re-order.

That sucks, but I think I'd have to re-order to get it the way I wanted it...otherwise, I'd always think about it. In all reality, the R6P code means nothing for resale.

Did your dealer verify the order had RS after the changes were made in the system?

I have a bad feeling about my order, as I made a couple changes within the process...however, my dealer verified the order several times (though I never saw the actual workbench order).

I'd be pissed too. That why I said to hell with this ordering process. I went on Cars.com and found one at a dealership. And NO, do not pay for something that doesn't have what you want on it. You're gonna be pissed to see a Camaro on the road with the RS Package knowing you were supposed to have it on your car. I mean orginally ordered a Blk/Blk 2LT RS w/sunroof but I settled for a SIM 2LT RS w/o sunroof. As long as it was a 2LT Blk, SIM, or even IBM w/ the RS Package I was Happy.

I understand where you're coming from, but do I really NEED 426HP? No, I don't. I want it. Same thing with the RS package. I really don't care about the taillights, but the roof ditch and the headlights are just going to piss me off everytime I see them.

Well there's your answer! Talk to you when your next order comes in!
