Anybody notice how the app gives you choices of center console covers? Like "SS" or "Chevrolet Performance"?

Dont be to upset. Just giving my honest review, its not very impressive, there is no pricing info, the cars are cgi, not real pictures, the colors are way off, the only thing that was a little bit cool was the option to rev the engine but not worth the time or effert if you ask me. You can get a better representation of what a Camaro you build will look like from the Chevy.com builder and you get pricing info. The opening video that plays when you 1st load into it was cool, to bad the builder didnt live up to the video.

Fun app. Wish I knew how to exit it...
The active rev match demo is pretty sweet though!

I hope they actually keep updating the app once Chevy releases their new parts for the car. That would make it actually even better!

Is the app going to help us configure the options that came out of SEMA, like the side stripes on the lower sides, the lip spoiler, or the blacked-out tail light section across the back?

It does have the gfx and front splitter, and has the dark taillights, but the cgi camaros do not really give you great representation IMO, I didnt look at all the stripes they had listed but there was a lot of options they are probably there as well.

Agreed, but I'm less interested in how the app makes the car look and more interested in knowing when I can build and order an SS with these SEMA options.

Then wait till or after the first quarter of 2016 which is when the parts will be available to purchase. They are all LPO's so you will be able to order them WITH or WITHOUT ordering a vehicle as they will arrive separate to your car and dealership/another shop/yourself can install them.

This is more of an app for entertainment purposes. I wouldn't expect for them to get any more specific with options.
I do like that it is more realistic than the Mustang app in that you only use production parts. In the Mustang one you can change the shape of different parts (eg. slim concept-like side mirrors) more like a video game. |

The app wont really be much help in that way, I would keep my eye on Chevy.com build for that kinda info. Also as stated before you can get the ss you want now and have the other stuff added later, tho there may be a bit more cost involved.
