Yup I was. Smelled kinda weird when the AC was turned on. I hope this will resolve it.

mine was tight also.the rubber seal around the parameter looks thicker than the oem I pulled out.27,000 miles and mine looked about like rock stars.just a tip,push down on the outside edges by the rails and not in the middle of the filter or it could crack !!!

It is a pretty tight fit. Maybe take a pic of the old one before removing it just to give you a good reference when installing the new one. How far it should be pushed down in the slot.

I too got to thinking about it because of a musty smell with the initial AC usage this season. Just put it in this morning, no word if it fixed it....but mine was visibly dirty and this was a good idea anyway.

If you can stand the stuff, spray some Lysol down in the filter cavity before replacing the old filter with the new one. It kills smelly things.

I ordered two from the e-bay site that was shown 2 months ago and only received one. The seller taped the two filters boxes together and sent it one it's merry way. When I got the one you could see the cheap clear tape was cut and the second one was gone. Finally got the seller to send me another one since the packaging job was so bad. Just an FYI.

OEM's are darker cause they are carbon impregnated.
