370z - I had one. Big fun to drive in the twisties as someone already mentioned. Power curve just starts to kick in at 3500 rpms with this car. Crappy ergonomics for any one over 5' 10".
L99 - I dumped mine for the 370z...hated it.
I love my ride today. Go figure...

Good luck with your quest.
Yup I'm 6'1, and having my knees in the steering wheel sucks haha

I had a Cad pull into a parking lot beside me last week. I thought I heard a vette! Nicely understated but the used ones are not cheap!

Yes, hiring a hooker is much cheaper than a girlfriend!

I know when I park mine during the winter I really miss it, when mid march comes and I take the cover off and start her up, it is like falling in love all over again. never loved a car like I like my SS. best car I have ever owned. Most fun car I have ever owned. no plans of letting her go any time in the future!!

I think it being an auto plays a part of it. I had an 05 Mustang GT and an 05 350z. Both auto. Both fun cars, but missing something. Just driving around when I wasn't driving in a spirited manner would get boring to me. The Camaro is my first manual car and even just driving up and down the street is fun. Maybe it's because it's my first manual, but I've had it over a year now and it's still making me smile everytime I get behind the wheel regardless if I'm WOT or in bumper to bumper traffic. Both the Mustang and 350z I had less than a year and found myself always wanting another car and I liked both of them a lot. Something about a manual though makes even the normal driving fun. Just my opinion though.

The local vette club always show up at every car show. I have to look! They are sweet and 1000 lbs. less. Big power, light car and no need to mod. Hmmmmm

No I am not drunk or going through depression while I say this, but I am thinking of getting something like a used C6 Corvette or maybe even a low mile Nissan 370Z and go forced induction with it.

I was even considering a Mustang GT 5.0 of course, but ehhh... not too interested in another V8 unless it's a Vette or maybe even a CTS-V.

The only 6 cylinder I would consider is a 370z unless someone has had fun with a platform that responds well to mods like they do.

Anyways, thoughts ? Opinions ?
That's the problem! Have you ever driven one of these? Once you have you can't live without one.

I wouldn't have purchased my Camaro if it was an automatic. Even the base V6 model is a lot of fun with a manual trans.
