A climate debate instigated by a photo of frozen car shampoo... only in America.

Everyone should be relieved to know that I did not drink the Megs Gold Class, tasty as it looked.

I've been driving hybrids since I was old enough to drive. All my cars burn gas AND rubber...

Gold class is garbage. I know cuz climate change freezes garbage......jk.

It is however a not good soap. If you like Meguiars try their Hyperwash. Rinses cleaner.

However, I will say that if you are going to weigh in and claim that climate change is some kind of fabricated myth, you should first have an open mind and seek more data before doing so.

Scientists don't have a horse in this game, other than observing trends and trying to protect the earth so that it's habitable for generations to come. Plenty of research (there are numerous documentaries on this) has shown that the temperature excursions and moving averages that we are seeing over the last 150 years are indeed rising relative to the thousands of years before that (ice core samples can tell you a lot). And that the cause appears to be CO2 levels that have risen steadily since over the same time period due to the industrial revolution. The temps only need to rise a degree or two to cause large changes to ice levels at the poles, with the result that the meltwater makes it way into the ocean and screws up currents (like the gulf stream) that normally circulate global heat from tropics to the poles. This then changes air currents and weather patterns around the globe (climate change) getting us to where we are today. Humans are causing this problem, and need to own up to it so we can engineer solutions before it's too late.

Having said that, I tried to do my part by driving a hybrid for 10 years, but ultimately just bought a Camaro SS so I could enjoy it on the track before the thrill of gas powered engines is a thing of the past ("the motor laws" - Rush predicted the future). So now I'm conflicted, but I'm not going to deny I'm now contributing more to the problem.
Dude...please...stop making sense.

Have you read the latest?

So few emissions over the last year with everyone staying home, no cruising, air travel cut to a thin wedge of normal, etc.... The skies are now so clear that we're getting more sunshine to hit the earth and temps are going up.

So...let's see if I have this straight. All of our EPA-fighting emissions are creating smog which traps heat, acting like a "greenhouse" (which is where the term greenhouse gasses comes from). This causes the temperatures to rise.

So, we all stop driving, flying, cruising, etc. and cut our emissions MASSIVELY, planet-wide. The smog clears, and now we're faced with increasing temperatures because more of the sun's energy hits and warms the earth?

I have no issues with it and it's all I've been using. Good pressure from the hose results in zero suds left behind.

I use it in a foam cannon.

To be fair , if you’d have mentioned the state of California, it would have been much worse!

If anyone wants further proof, look at our oceans and the historical temperatures. Circumstances leading up to may be argued, but the evidence is all there. Our water is a primary indicator of Earth's overall health, which comes as no surprise considering over 70% of the planet is covered with it. The polar ice caps, the depletion of the Great Barrier Reef (and reefs in general - several of which I have seen firsthand), rising water levels, change of seasonal patterns, severity of natural disasters, etc. can all be attributed to global warming.

As someone else has brought up, we cannot preach too heavily as many of us on here drive big (unnecessary) motors, but I do agree that "unnecessary" is very much what the American Dream is all about. Buy a bigger house, a more expensive car, have a better paying job. That mindset combined with the fact that we are apt to to use the justification that "two wrongs make a right" creates a distasteful recipe.

Example: A person drives a Prius to work, though it possible to walk the 2 blocks to the office, stops at Starbucks every single morning, and goes to the sub shop every day for lunch. Now I feel this is a situation that is fairly realistic for some - is this person "Green" because he/she chose to purchase a Prius??

I had no issues with Gold Class from what I recall, but it has been awhile since I've had it in my arsenal. I always have a bottle of Meguiars Ultimate for my buckets. For my foam cannon, I mostly use CG Maxi Suds II. Decent soap and it smells great.

Blue Coral is about the most watery soap I have used . Though it is justified by the price. Use it on the wheels, exhaust tips, etc. but your paint deserves better! lol

I would recommend buying a bucket and get a screw top with a lid. You fill the bucket with soap and hot/warm water at home, take it to the car wash and use the pressure washer there. That is what I used to do with my Z's when I had them out in the winter. I didn't want the hassle/mess of washing at home in the winter.
