I'd suggest searching it up as well to get more info, it's been discussed quite a lot on these boards. Totally depends on the quality of product you buy. If you buy crappy coilovers, you're going to get a crappy ride and crappy performance, but if you go with the right company (which yes of course typically means more $$), then you shouldn't have any real downside of course besides the obvious (aka you're lowered, so watch for curbs, bumps, potholes, speed bumps, driveways and so forth).

As long as you go with a well designed kit, you're good to go

With coilovers, you have adjustable damping, Adjustable ride height, The ability to corner balance, More clearance for wider wheel and tire setups and you can tune the suspension for your driving style. If you plan on auto crossing or tracking the car, Coilovers are the way to go for sure.

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

Why don't heavy cars come with coilovers instead of struts from the factory?

Cost, not everyone who buys camaros/mustangs/challengers wants a track worthy vehicle.
