Question

I recently had a tune up done on my 95 and once in a while, while driving the rpm's start pulsing a bit, then it goes away. I know both times I have gotten a tune-up that a wire came loose, but this isn't consistant so I don't think it is a wire came loose.

I will just be driving along and then I look at my RPM's gauge and it bounces a bit.

Any ideas?

Does it happen before the car is warmed-up and then stop once it's warm?
I had a car that would surge until it was warmed up... it just needed one of it's sensors cleaned and was affecting the vacuum I think.

No actually it happens more after it has been driven for a bit. It doesn't tend to happen at all when the car is cold.

no light? just in case I'd take it by auto zone/ advance or some place you can get the codes scanned. even if there isn't a light there might be a code.

AutoZone or some other shops will actually do that for you? I can honestly say I never knew that Parts Stores would check the codes for you.

Yeah, I thought they charged too but I took mine in this past easter when my light triggered for the Throttle Position Sensor. They ran the code for me and showed it to me on the scanner, took me inside and pulled up the part. to Autozone! They said once I put it in to come back and they would reset it for me if it didn't go off on it's own. It's a much better idea than taking it to the dealership and getting raped at $75-$115 for the diagnostic .
