Bogart wheels are higher than Weld and we have to maintain the selling point or I get kicked to the curb or go broke...

PTS will be glad to take care of any Bogart Racing Wheel needs as we spent alot of time making sure of no problems. Ask Kevin!!!!!

Regards,

Perry

Width and back spacing?

Yes I did.
I am looking to see what the difference is between the Bogarts & Welds. Since they are both 17x10 wheels, what makes the Bogarts clear better?
I am in the market to buy a set of either, but really would like to know this info before I make my purchase.
Any help would be appreciated!

I'm not sure why people think that Bogart specs are some big secret. Like Mike said, there are plenty out there to measure. I sent an e-mail directly to Bogart several months ago asking about the specs on the Bogart wheels pictured in this link:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128033

I was told by Ricky at Bogart: "These would be a 17x10 with a 6 3/4 backspace @ $697 each. The fronts are 17x5 with a 2 1/4 @ $636 each (just in case)....".

So, I guess I let the big secret cat out of the bag....oh well!!!!

My welds 17s clear the arms just fine. The only thing mine rubbed on was the parking brake cable. I thought it was the control arms but I was wrong. you guys might want to look closer and make sure they are rubbing the control arm.
Just thought it might help some of you.

The interference is only on cars that are lowered or have a hard launch and if you had actually read most of the post's in here, you would have noticed that.

As for looking to see if it was the cable rubbing and not the lower control arm, I wish I had thought of that...it could have saved me a lot of time...

Seriously though, I want to put a shout-out to Weld for standing behind their product and getting me another rear set of wheels with different back-spacing that will allow me to run my slicks. I will be test fitting them tomorrow to see where we are. I'll keep you posted.

-John

Well I guess my 1.5 60ft means I was babying off the line.
I know that that I'm launching it as hard if not harder then most guys on here. And I haven't had a problem. I go to the track every weekend.
Sorry for trying to help. And I did read the whole post.

John, can you tell us what size and offset you were running and what size and offset you're going to be getting from Weld? I think most people who have the RT-S wheels are running a 17x10 (ET44, 7.20" BS). But I was curious how their 17x10 (ET30, 6.70" BS) would fit. Especially since the Bogarts are supposedly a 17x10 w/ a 6.75" BS.
