Grill won’t stay in my bumper! Help!

I recently got a zl1 bumper and any time I go 80 or 90 my heritage grill pops out of the top of the bumper. No matter how hard I try to pull the grill into the tabs it doesn’t want to stay in! Anyone else have this issue? Why is this happening?

That's maybe why, I bought a non genuine lower grill for my old SS and it had a habit of popping out.

I have their grill and spoiler, no issues with either. That's a bummer, that bumper/grill combo look perfect on your car... way better than stock IMO. If all else fails, any way you can hide a few zip-ties in there somewhere? Seems like I had to do that with one of my vehicles that had an ill-fitting aftermarket grill, I was able to drill some holes in the back of it and zip-tie it in place where it wasn't visible. Good luck!

That set up looks great!
.im using the ikon front zl1 bumper cover as well. with a oem zl1 grill ..no issues..it was a very tight fit cliping in the grill, even had to use a soft rubber mallet so it would fully snap into place .

Non OEM grill is why, holes for the tabs are probably too big. Or you destroyed the tabs by taking out the old grill.

If the tabs keep coming out at 80+ then it probably needs to be secured behind the grill after slotting them into the grill holes. You can use small clamping clips or U Nuts to secure the tabs from behind so they won't come out that quick due to wind force.

So I think I may have found a solution. The tabs that go into the grill have holes in them so I pushed tabs like the ones that are found at the top of the bumper into the holes to hopefully keep the grill in place. From what I can tell so far it feels pretty sturdy. I’ll take a photo of what I did in a few minutes
