First generation Camaro owner, repainting due to being rear ended, car presently dark blue conv w/white top. I love the new color Aqua Blue Metallic, but not sure how this color would work on older Camaro. To much metallic? would it go with white top? Other consideration is 1968 Tripoli Turquoise w/black nose stripe. I like both colors just afraid if i paint the car ABM, does it go w/that time period?

I think it would look fine, but a little out of place for a 1st gen. I would go with Marina Blue or LeMans Blue which are more period correct. Marina Blue is the closest to ABM, without the teal undertones. If you like Tripoli Turquoise, that's OK too, but I think you would tire of the color quicker than either of the blues.

Agreed.

I love ABM, but I think it won't look as good on the 1st Gen's they are more rounded. It might look more like it does on the HHR than it does on the current camaro. Which is not a good thing, the color looks too green/purplish on the HHR IMO. I think it would end up doing the same thing on the 1st Gen.
