The 2016-2024 floor mat thread

I need some real opinions here. I've searched and there are little bits and pieces about floor mats tucked away in myriad other places, but not all in one place.

I'm looking for a set of good floor mats for my SS. Here's what I've found so far.

Lloyds - Very popular. Most people seem to buy the carpeted versions. They also make a rubberized version. Neither version seems to cover any vertical surface, just the floor pan. Nice selection of colors and logos.

Weathertech Floor liners - Expensive, hard plastic mats. Very good coverage including lots of vertical surface. Made in USA.

Husky - Weatherbeaters compare to Weathertechs, hard plastic, good coverage, similarly expensive but a little less. X-act Fit liners are supposedly softer, also very good coverage. Currently up to a 7-week lead time for the X-act fit Camaro mats. Made in USA

3d - KAGU / Maxpider Floor liners. These are by far the most economical option ($112 for set, before shipping from Rockauto) and are an interesting material choice, with medium-good coverage compared to a full height floor liner. Does not appear to be Made in the US.

GM/Chevrolet Accessories - These rubberized mats most closely mimic the factory floor mat in shape and coverage. Available in black with white Camaro logo, or Black with white stripes and Camaro logo. $95 shipped for all 4 mats, to a dealer, is also an economical option, but coverage is minimal/lacking just like factory carpeted mats.

Show me what you've got, post pics, and honest reviews!

3D Maxpider floor mats are the best floor mats I've ever owned. I have them in both my Camaros and my wife's vehicle. I like them much better than Weathertech, Husky and any OEM floor mats I've had.

I have Husky mats for general use and GM ZL1 logo mats (now discontinued) for shows.

I really like the coverage and fitment of the Husky mats, and their excellence at catching and holding sand and water.

I have the Lloyds thick, carpeted mats and couldn't be more happy with them. I've had them in the car for 6 years and ~60k miles and they're holding up very well. If these ever wear out, I'll definitely buy another set.

Lloyds with custom logo for our new ZL1. On the SS we had, we had Lloyds and loved them and held up and still looked great when we traded it in (70k miles).

I've used 3D MAXpider on both of the 6th gens I've owned. As far as fit and performance goes, I haven't seen any better and they are definitely head and shoulders above Weathertech.

I got mine from Car Mats Customs (https://www.carmatscustoms.com/). Going to use them for winter only. The coverage is great. The pictures are right at installation, so they have some wrinkles but they really laid out nicely after a few days.

I have the excellent Lloyd Ultimats in black with the 6th gen Camaro script, got them at a decent price and they still look new after 5 years, enough said

Now, I will say that this isn't for people who daily the car and soil it with muddy boots, because as you said, they are traditional mats with no vertical coverage.

I’ve had the GM OEM all-weather mats on both my 6th gen’s. Great for daily driving and been able to just pull them out and spray them down easily. Worst few times was transporting food and oil leaked out, each time I sprayed it down and it cleaned up no issue. Never got any stains on the carpet thanks to them

I actually paid $50 twice, $50 for all 4 mats and trunk mat when my 2016 got totaled I couldn’t get in and lost all my mods. My 2022 came with all 4 interior mats but paid $50 for the trunk mat (it came with a rear set so I have a spare rear set now ).

Usually someone’s selling a set for under $100 nearby

I had Lloyd’s I my 98 truck and loved them. I had what was supposed to be the same mat in my 14 Camaro and they were junk.

I am a bit of floor mat geek. All of 3of my cars have multiple sets of mats. I blame it on coming from Queens NY where all of the moms in my neighborhood covered their sofas in plastic and towels (and to this day!)

My favorite mats for looks are the Lloyd Berber mats. I have them in my Camaro SS, Corvette, and Acura RLX. One negative is you get heel wear on drivers mat. My hi mile (30k miles annually) Acura I have a small plastic heel mat on top of the Lloyd Berber mat. The Camaro and Corvette I also have a set of Weather Tech all weather mats (not the large tray mats). They are great for stick shift cars as they are not slippery at all.....but they do not cover a large area or up the sides for foul weather. The Acura RLX for winters I have the Weather Tech Trays for the front of the vehicle. They cover a very large area and up the sides plus very easy to clean.

The Camaro trunk I also have the matching Lloyd Berber mat which really dressed up the trunk......The poor man's Cadillac BlackWing

I have the OEM mats to all of my cars still in the box for preservation.

I bought some GM Accessories mats for my 2016 2SS when it was new that have Camaro on them that I put in my ZL1 back in 2019 when I bought it but I think they are discontinued now. The Lloyd’s floor mats are excellent but are pricey but might be worth it. Good luck.
