Installing new clutch and flywheel torque specs - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hi All,

Installing a new OEM clutch, flywheel, and slave cylinder in my 2012 camaro manual transmission PN 24272326. I believe this is the Aisin AY6.

Below are the torque specs I have found online. Can anyone confirm these as correct?

Flywheel Bolts - First Pass 20 N.m 15 lb ft
Flywheel Bolts - Second Pass 50 N.m 37 lb ft
Flywheel Bolts - Final Pass 100 N.m 74 lb ft
Flexplate/Flywheel Bolts Threadlock 12345382 10953489
Slave Cylinder = 30 Nm

Also, is there anything I should keep in mind or be aware of during the process?

Those are the correct specs. I'd put in a remote bleeder a minimum...

If anyone has never pulled a trans in our cars, and has never had to bleed the slave cylinder, please take the advice given 100+ times on this forum and purchase a remote bleeder. Tick makes one that can be installed without removing the transmission, for those that dont need to pull it.

Bleeding that slave yesterday, was the worst shit ive done in a while. It sucks. Worse than pulling the trans and the rest of the entire job. Never again!
