The only cruise I know about is the one from Texas to Indy... we have half the cars anyway...

It all makes sense now!!! We should be coming in Wed night as well. We all had to book rooms at the Laquinta but all the hotels appear to be very close together.

"Should" be a cruise this year.

I have been in talks with the INDY PD traffic guys and they feel confident they can put something together for us. I'll be honest, they were wanting BIG $$$ due to the expected HIGH number of cars. We might just end up doing the loop around the city. If so, we at least get a cruise in. But, ... you'd be surprised at how much they initially wanted.


I mean hey...upwards of 500 to 600 cars...eek

The Chamber of Commerce should be a help...
When they realize the income potential...

I bet,
..they would help block the streets...

Could we do a Woodward-esque kind of cruise where there's a road that is divided, minimum 4 lane, strips of restaurants, etc where we can cruise, stop, eat, drink and visit?

Hey...small towns LOVE this. Try Valdosta...they REALLY want us back. We even had people sign up on this site just to thank us for coming (from restaurants, etc). BIG help on the economy. I wish all folks saw it the same way. :(

That's a very good type of think we'd love to do. But, that would be closure of MANY streets...every intersection for a long strip. Businesses, permits, road blocking, etc etc would be TOUGH for that many cars. That's teh problem.

The Valdosta cruise will never be matched. Anything close would be an awesome cruise.
