Made some more progress today. Dug the footers and spread gravel. Hopefully I can get the concrete poured in a day or two.

Got the forms removed this morning. I'm real happy with the way everything is going so far. I'll start buying materials next week for the building.

I know building codes are different everywhere in the country. But just out of curiosity, why was rebar not used to reinforce the concrete?

Rebar was used only for the footers. We didn't have to use rebar on the front because that is where the garage door is going (not a load bear wall).

I did a similar pour for my foundation when I did mine (28 x 32) a few years ago. Monolithic turn down pour, rebar on the edges. I used wire across the center though. Mine was 18" thick at the edges and 6" across the center. Total was 22 yards, that was a long day. Be sure to post plenty of pics, looking good so far.
