P0008 for the second time!

My 2010 had this code at 20k miles and the dealer performed the repairs under warranty. Now 3 years later at only 40k miles it has come up again. I've seen discussions about if there is a TSB or warranty covering this for longer periods but I never found an answer. Should I contact the dealer that performed the first repair? Two timing chains in 40k miles isn't the quality I expected.

Damn that's some rotten luck. I assume that's well out of warranty. Might not hurt contacting the dealer but yeah 40k isn't that much mileage.

V6 I assume. It seems to be a powertain isssue, so I’d probably contact the dealer and see if they can help out — or ar least find our what was repaired. Usually comes on do to a miss align of the sprockets as calculated by the ECM... (stretched chains or sensor moved?)

There is a service bulletin number in the last post on the page I believe...
