Didn't know which side the gas cap was..

So yesterday was the first time I put gas in my car. I pull in the the gas station thinking that my gas cap was on the left because that's where is was on my 4th gen.

So I stop, open my door to see, but couldn't tell because of the curves of the body. This guy next to fueling up his car was looking, and I asked him if my gas cap was on the left side. He said, "no" and had this look on his face like I was a total idiot. Well I was.

Anyway, I just thought it was funny.

Here is a little trick I picked up from when I was a road warrior (for 5 years) and renting a different car every week.

Looking at the gas gauge, you will see a little arrow, the arrow indicates which side your gas tank is on...works on most cars.

Yes, I see the arrow. That is good to know.

Coming back to Franklin from Chattanooga, I stopped to fill up and forgot it was on the passenger side. I had to turn the car around.

The day I picked my Camaro up, me and Brian my salesman went the gas station for the fill up and that was when I found out about the arrow on the gas gauge, never knew about the arrow.

This is going to be a problem with me. My Impala has it on the left, and so I know this is going to start happening to me in BOTH cars if the gas caps are on opposite sides.

Wow you guys are geniouses. I didn't know that arrow trick! I'm going to go check my current car to see if it has it. It's a 2008 so I'm thinking maybe it should.
