Another regretful Mustang owner.

Last year I had a post asking how many Mustang owners regretted buying a Mustang after the Camaro came out. I had heard of several Ford guys that said they should have waited to at least see the new Camaro b4 they bought a Mustang. Personally I have converted 2 Mustang owners to Camaro's and this is the email I received from the salesman @ the dealer I bought my Camaro from. I have referred several people to him and it earned me 2 free oil changes.

I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for another recommendation. I sold your buddy Eric one of our used 2011 SS, it was the white one that was up front if you seen it. Eric wanted to trade in his Mustang GT but I told him he would be far better off to sell it out right. He told me it's your fault for wanting a Camaro ever since he seen your's last summer he has been thinking about getting one. Friday he seen the white one on the lot and he decided to buy it. He drove it home Saturday with a full tank of gas.

What is that now, at least 5 people you have referred to me and I've sold 3 of them Camaro's. I also remember last year when we had the Cadillac on the lot and you told the guy on your bowling team about it and he bought that from me. You are helping me earn a living and I thank you for that. The next 2 oil changes on your Camaro are on me, just tell them to give the bill to me.

Thanks again Russ!

So he sold 3 cars due to you referring people to him and you get 2 free oil changes? I would of thought something better but 2 free oil changes are better than nothing.

^thats what i thought too at first, but if hes personally paying for it understandable, i would think the dealership would offer him something though. Anyways congrats on that! thats awesome and very nice of him to do!

most dealerships have a "bird dog" program, I doubt hes paying out of his pocket.

In my experience its usually $100-$150 dollars, sometimes for each of you.

Does seem that an oil change is kinda skimping.

Cool, but tell the dealer to keep the money and spend it at the local community college on an English class.

Better yet, I say we have Facebook and Twitter modified so that they refuse to post anything which does not pass a basic spelling and grammar check, but gives no hints as to where the errors are.

We will have 100 million more fluent writers in a matter of months.

I have referred to particular dealerships with nothing in return, I think the offer was generous assuming more than likely it might be coming out of his pocket.

Your dealer does not know the proper way to use the word seen...
