Yeah, currently dont have any interest in a Challenger or Charger, imho too fat. That doesnt say things change down the road, when it matters. The drone didnt bother me too much, it was more annoying on the MRT v1.0, than the Pypes catback.

I realize im comparing 2 different brands AND engines, but I certainly couldnt compare what I didn't drive now, could I? I even sheepishly said Id drive a Camaro again, before the Mustang. Obviously in SS fashion. All boiling down to: I wish I did it right the first time, and didnt roll money/end up paying more for what I wanted to drive in the first place etc.

Ultimately this. Cheap shotty, unwitty thread titles aside, I loved how the Camaro looked, which in the end just didnt overpower the fact that I hated the AY6 trans, and wanted more power. (V8) Mustangs' MT-82 transmission was a bit notchy, but nothing compared to the notchiness AND grinding of the AY6.
Thanks for the replies guys.

Give me a break. I'm not like some people around here that will put down a mustang just because it's a Ford or challenger just because it's a Dodge. I appreciate all performance cars but I'll tell it like it is. Not trolling but have been a bit disappointed with the stock L99 performance. It's pretty annoying having my twit younger 18 year old brother hanging with my $32k SS.
I'm a performance guy and should of held out for the 1LE

When I got mine I test drove a V6 Camaro and a V6 Mustang. Don't compare a V6 anything to a V8 anything.

Some people are missing the point, its a good thing I didn't say I would buy the Mustang again lol. That would like, totally defeat the purpose of saying id drive a Camaro again!

Agreed. I swore i'd never buy a Mustang. That silly sort of stubbornness and all. About that... Funny how things work out sometimes.

Your L99 has a lot of potential in it. Bolt on for bolt on it will be faster than the LS3 or the 1LE where it counts on the drag strip and stop light to stoplight. LTs, CAI, and a Jannetty tune should put the car running low 12s consistently.

That is my one gripe with the Mustang Vs. Camaro. The Camaro is such a prettier machine, a better engineered machine, however, that damn Mustang just sounds SO mean stock. As someone said, no car sounds like it, and you know a mustang when you hear one. A Camaro sounds like .... a big V8. Nothing wrong with that, but the Mustang's exhaust really gives it that extra 'personality'

Camaro LS-3 or nothing for me. Never owned a Ford, never will. That's just me.

And I realize the only reason I am posting the review, like AdamZ said, is because im miserable I had to get rid of a car I really enjoyed(whether it be the Camaro or the Mustang) for family reasons. Smart and required still, but still a bummer to go from starting the Mustang... to starting a 4 cyl =/

edit: It is a shame this isn't a comparison of the SS vs GT. So much more relevant.
The LLT responds well to basic bolt on mods. If mine didnt I would not have kept it. The only time mine feels sort of labored is when I have a passenger in the front and back. Other than that it pulls hard all the way to redline in all gears. Add a Ported TB, Magnaflow x-pipe, CAI, and Axleback. Put me in the High 13s. Will add a Ported Intake when I get the time. May add headers after the warranty runs out. A tune...not even thinking about getting a tune.

To OP,

YOu say you wish you could get the Mustang 5.0 motor in the camaro, you do realize that the 6.2L LS3 puts out more HP and torque then the 5.0 stang motor don't you.

Put a good exhaust on the camaro SS and it will sound amazing.

Yes the camaro is heavier but its also more comfortable to drive and built better for street use.

I think if you had experience with the SS version of the camaro you would have an even more favorable view of the camaro over the stang.
