Manual Tranny 2nd Gear ???
I am hopefully purchasing a '13 LT so a few questions if I may.
Do the manual transmissions in the v6 cars have the same 2nd gear grind problem as the v8 cars? How big is this problem I have seen a few complaints on here but seems to mostly be in v8 cars. Is it the same transmission in both cars? Is this still a problem with the 2013 model year cars or was it only on earlier cars? Have any of you had to take your car in for warranty repairs because of this problem? Were they able to fix the problem? Thanks for all your help cady |

The ss second gear problem is a synchro blocker ring problemi had mine done under warranty now it works great

2012 shifts just fine. Never a grind even with pedal to the metal

Congrats on Your new LE, I am jealous, I have a 2011 2ss and it has the stupid grinding problem. It happens occasionally.

I have 2nd gear grind problem. Car is not daily driver, '12 2SS/RS TF3 Edition, 1 Year Old, Less then 9800 miles on odo, I'm only owner, meticulously maintained, when temperature is below 55 on tranny grinds like a mother***** in 2nd until +80F. Will bring in for warranty when no salts on roads. Never seen rain, snow, salt, or extreme heat or cold
Garage kept ftw.

I have gotten 2nd Gear Grind on my V6. It only happens when Speed Shifting
