especially since the Z has 6 individual pads which has proven to be problematic in high stress situations

I plan on doing this upgrade next week to my '11 SS. So far I've ordered the 6-piston calipers & 2-piece rotors, the pin and spring kits, brake lines, HPS pads and RBF 600 fluid.
I plan on keeping the rears stock, but upgrading to the HPS pads. Have I forgotten anything? Can I get a confirmation that the stock front caliper bolts work with the CTS-V calipers? |

Despite the attitude, I am willing to measure the V bolts tonight if you like. Clearly if you read the whole thread you know that simply bolting on the V calipers will result in the calipers being installed c0ckeyed. Not my style, but I don't own a 5th gen, so what do I know? |

^Yeah, there seems to be some confusion with regards to the bolts. Later in the thread it's mentioned that the CTS-V and SS bolt have the same part number (which is what I was told when ordering).
Another thread I found mentions a M14x2.0x40, but that installation is on a G8 (and I don't know the dimensions of the stock SS caliper bolts). In any event, yeah, I'd appreciate getting a measurement just for peace of mind... Thanks. |

Anyone running the 2-piece rotors? I read the 2-piece CTS-V rotors were designed to be quiet so I'm assuming 2-piece rotors can make some kind of noise.
I'm asking because I got mind installed today and I'm getting a strange, almost dull sounding clicking under moderate braking. I won't be able to pull the wheels off until tomorrow, but looking through the wheels everything looks and feels fine. That is, I see no signs of rubbing or scraping and everything appear to be tight & secure. Could this just be the 2-piece rotors? |

I don't know what the ZL1 comes with. I have these:
Apparently these use "patented anti-rattle floating hardware". What I'm hearing doesn't sound like rattle... |
